Look what I stumbled upon at Retro Show today:

It was rattle canned matt black and had previously been matt green as you could see it underneath in places

Regardless of the fact it's a crappy Chevrolet, why the fook would you do that to an 08 plate car?!

That just says to me someone has gone to a dealer and been talked in to buying a cheap car new, got bored of it because all their mates had old ones that they modded up yo, so he's modded that one, but he's got no money so it was done with rattle cans in the name of scene.

He doesn't know the value of the car because it just comes out of the bank £80 per month which is amply offset by his income, so it doesn't matter when he ruins it and makes it impossible to sell.

The he takes it to shows to park it wonky next to other terrible cars.

You're not getting old, just wise to what actually constitutes the hobby. And for the wise people, it's not that.

Oh there was plenty of that going on too Tom - and a fully rusted Clio.

Ian - That made me actually I have to admit I was quite surprised by the fact that a large amount of people present on their stand did look my age or older

I dont see the attraction of buying a car and spending time money and effort making it look as shit as possible whi'st also clearly halfing its market value because its rusty dented plastered in stickeres been resprayed in a matt xolour by stevie wonder and had all kinds of random roof racks extra 10 wing mirrors and badges bolted to it lol

Did the owner have an alternative girlfriend to match the car?

I didn't see the owner of this tbh. They were all quite alternative looking individuals though.

Hi I am new here.

I have one just like that

but I use mine as a van as I have a corsa B as my fun toy and my neon to tow my car transporter. at the minit I have a 2.0 x20xev engine and 4 autograss wheels and tyres in the back. its just clocked up 18.000 miles from new

I use to paint cars so I dont mind it getting dented and scratched. it will get driven into the ground. I got mine for cash brand new and told the dealer he will never see this car again lol

its only paint. I will never sell it so I dont give a sh!t what it looks like. it gets used for scrap yard and tip runs and tows my box trailer about. I only use it 4 or 5 times a month.

I use my corsa that I am fitting a x20xev to or my crapy neon when I need 4 seats.

So why not buy a van, that's a hell of a lot cheaper than a Kalos brand new?

£6000 brand new. very cheap to run, parts are very cheap and insurance is alot cheaper.

plus I dont need a van as a small car will do. I plan to keep it for a long time. so I will get my moneys worth out off it.

like I say I use my corsa most days as thats alot more fun to drive as its been made very light ( 740kg ) so its nippy
