I wouldnt have one as my main car either come to think of it. My mk2 GTi wasnt good at taking abuse of the daily drag so a mk1's going to be worse!?

black one was bought as it is and has now been totally stripped down and sold off and changed, Bit of a shame as that was mint.

also look for a thread on the baby blue one with the hottie, she has had as much of a transformation as the car.

ohh and i had a MK1 GTi as a daily as was very reliable.

Sold mine for around £2900 and that was mint and had a full respray, can pick them up decent enough.

Go for a solid one though as that is the main issue, they rust, and alot.

how fucking much, its a HC and not a HB.
and its only a 1256cc, looks like a chevette engine aswell.

Ohh and if u were to get a GTi, 1.8 and not 1.6, alot better and parts are cheaper.

It will be a massive drop in comfort, and toys.

As a weekend toy it would be fine, but adding all that wear and tear using it every day seems a bit rude.

I'd love a Nova, but for the reasons I don't.
