Today was the first time i have had a chance to clean the new car. Now i remember why i said i would never buy a black car!! A mix of sunshine and a very hard water area made cleaning near to impossible.
Now i have water marks baked onto the car The paintwork is in very bad order and is in serious need of a correction. I simply do not have time to do this so ill get it done properly. Anyways heres some pics of Before, Paintwork and After.

Paintwork was still just as bad close up. I might try to give it a polish tomorrow but tbh i havent a clue where to start with correction.

You get to choose from the 19's or the 18's the car was designed etc with the 18's on. Poeple say they ride much better with the 18's but i personally wouldnt know.

Yeah 18's are million time better mate, so glad I got rid of my 19's.
The paint on my astra is the same mate, I've clayed super resin polished and used dodo juice hard candy wax( I think it's called) and it's nice and smooth now but could still do with a machine polish.
Any plans ??
1st plan should be Remus

I live in a hard water area and I find that that meguiars final touch or whatever it's called is good. Stops the water marks. Spray it on when rinsed then towel it down. Or wash the car in the evening

Its got a Courtenay Panel filter and the precat removed. It does pop and purr nicely atm but am seriously considering getting a Remus. It will be getting subtly modified Stage 3 max.

Looks nice in the after pics mate
My paint had a similar level of swirls before Rich had his way with it. You could make it look a bit better by using SRP and Black Hole but it won't get rid of it all.
I expect Rich will turn up with some words of wisdom in a bit anyway

From how popular he was at PVS '09 when he went in the van, I'd say there wouldn't be time for getting the machine out

Looks lovely but needs full correction. You won't shift those swirls by hand. AG SRP wll help to hide some but not remove them.

Yeah ill give it a go with some SRP tomorrow. Weather depending. Is it worth using a machine polisher with it? or just do it by hand?
