Good vid, would like to know what the engine in the saxo has had done. Although I noticed AK has replied to the video so maybe he could shed some light on it. Good video though.

Its an AX.
As far as i was aware it was VTS lump, 206 gti 2.0 top/bottom end, not sure which, and supercharged???

saxo should've pulled in imo... winds me up when slower cars on corners just refuse to pull in because they're quicker on the straights.

nothing to do with 2.0 bottom end, and it's the engine out of the ax in a saxo
if i'm right it's a forged j4 bottom end with jp4 head with cat cam 704 cams with a rotrex super charger and kms ecu.

Saxo was fast but once he had his play a few times with the Evo should have let him past

The saxo did well to hold that much speed in the corners in the wet, and on slicks.

Nonsense...
If the evo had got past, the saxo would've been left behind... the evo was all over it on all the corners (probably due to slippery conditions) - the evo would've pulled enough of a gap in the corners, that the saxo would not of gained on it down the straight, then the next lap the evo would've pulled away more...
It's the most frustrating thing  on a track - when you have a car that's quicker in a straight line... it pulls away on the straight, then you catch it up into the first corner and am stuck behind it holding you up for all the corners (imo the most enjoyable parts to go quick through) - then get on the straight again (the only place you can pass on a track day) and it leaves you behind again... only for you to catch it on the next corner.
(I don't condone this but i often do it these days)
- Once you dive up the inside and get past it on that 1st corner it, you leave it behind through the corners, and next time you're on the straight its far enough behind that it stays behind even though it's quicker ... Lap after that its gone in your rear view mirror completely.

I had it when I was going around Lydden with a Scooby, slow around the bends and accelerates away on the straights, it's so frustrating, as can be heard by my swearing in the video

So the faster car should drive half throttle down the straights to keep behind you, just so you can drive a bit quicker through the corner?
We had this situation at Snetterton, lotus elises, all over us through the corners but were left on the straights. We'd let them through by backing off in the end only to catch them up a few straights later. Its frustrating on both sides of the coin.

went well all day aswell,
just after 4 mins on the vid the black 205 with purple one in front is mates 16v turbo that i had put a build thread up on, search for sounds of silence on youtube youll get more vids of that
