Good day out, weather held off and track dried off by the afternoon so plenty of fun was had by all. Couple of offs, some not so serious but one guy rolled it at Paddock Hill Bend in the gravel. Don't know if he's ok or not to be honest as it happened right at the end of the day so the day was ended when it happened.
My Fiesta performed so well, I'm really impressed. The Brembos and the Ferodos performed all day, no fade, the tyres gave in before the brakes showed any sign of losing effectiveness. Just lacked power down the straights because around the twistier sections I was keeping up easily with the high powered cars.
Looking forwards to more tracktime next year now.

Dammit! Shouldn't have looked at the pictures.
Was feeling quite sick with envy before I was a third of the way down the page.
The more I scrolled, the worse it got.
If that's a real RS1800 I think i'm going to have a brain haemorrage.

Cheers Mark, I was so impressed with it. Held its own around Clearways against every car there, just lacked power everywhere else
Never mind! The bloke driving was even running around trying to find fuel so I could go out

Mate it's awesome fun, so much better than hacking around on the roads and risking my licence

Yeah that's with brightening them up a bit in PS too. It was a dull day and I just gave my mates the camera on a rough setting for them to use.

Cheers. It wasa MK5 ZS, think it was one of the Fiesta Championship ones as it was all decalled up. I didn't like the aggressiveness of the drivers driving though so it didn't surprise me that he wrapped it.

King of the Palace (Crystal)
He's the chap who had the LUNATIC 'P' reg British Racing Green 1.6 sport on Cosworth rims with a 2.1 all steel dry sumped Pinto with 50s and no air cleaners that I told you about a while back.
He's the one that turned up to the Chelsea cruise one night with a racing fuel cell sunk in the boot floor and the arse end all tubbed out in alloy, Kevlar bonnet boot and doors and perspex windows with polysterene cups jammed in the doors to keep the perspex drop-glass up.
It used to go across Battersea bridge in such an interesting style.
Saw his car (after hearing it coming for a couple of minutes) enter the roundabout by the gates of Chelsea park and do two or three laps of it completely sideways, the whole way round, in the dry.
Bit of a South London hero from the early 1990s. He had an X-Pack car built for the Vecta Fast Ford challenge too.
I'm wondering now if that white car is a new build/aquisition or perhaps put together from any one of his cars from years ago.

Story goes he used to have a 400bhp Cossie 4x4. Scrapped that and then set about putting the Cosworth V6 from a Scorpio into a Saph shell.

Goes well too.
Well, not sure if he scrapped it or what, was an unlucky car though, so he got rid. Had 666 in the number plate and kept going wrong, think a piston ring went and it pressurized the crankcase and eventually popped or something in the end

That's fair enough. As long as he didn't scrap a Cosworth.
Would have had to receive a 'visit'.
