Long story short, my C used to have a dbilas turbo kit, but when it was sold, the ecu had to be swapped...
the ecu now on my car, was remapped by regal (EDS?) there was never a before read out, but rolled 139bhp on a standard engine with just a viper!
anyway, this remapped ecu made less power than standard!
made 122.4bhp on the 'remapped map' and 125bhp with the standard GM map reloaded over the map file!
mods, derestricted airbox, 1.9 astra intake pipe,

RED : 'regal map'
GREEN : Standard map reloaded!
it looks like all they had done was richen the fueling, and rasie the rev limit and scale the map to the rasied rev limit!
i dont have a afr graph, but on the standard map its going rich at the top end of the revs, which casues the power/torque to drop off
unfortantly never got time to do a proper remap

red one is standard, blue one regal map lol
either somethings making it run rich at the top end, lambda poss ? or in the map
if it carried on running at 12.5 would pull nicer, as when fueling richens power/toque starts dropping

as opose to regals 139bhp from a viper and a dodgy map
strange how it makes book figures.....
but makes it even better that a corsa d 150bhp sri turbo got owned to a standard 1.8 sri

true i often sit at 30 in 6th then when national speed limit signs come up just apply throttle and use the torques to get to 60 without changing gear. im way too old to need to be in 1st gear to accelerate from 30mph.

see, i need turbo - not tec
shame i have one car to finish first
to be fair, the c does drive nice, picks up nicely to, will pick up in any gear from 1,000rpm no problem, and cruises up hills - all within reason being its a 1.8 n/a bear in mind
a turbo would be nice me thinks though
