Just looking through pistonheads as i'm wanting to buy another XE Corsa.
I want one thats already registered to save any hassle with new DVLA rules.

I cant seem to find any let alone a choice that are actually registered as 2.0's

My last one was booked as a 1.6 sport and i didnt like driving it like that.

Who all has HONESTLY declared their XE ? And where the hell are all the lefit ones

I never bothered. Had it insured as an XE with everything declared though.

What would happen if you got tugged
by the po po and it was properly insured but not booked?

I was constantly on edge driving my last one about town incase i got pulled, i was going to do it legit but i lost my job 3 days after i bought it.

I thought DVLA were moving the goalposts with this?

And why would that have stopped you, presuming you continued to drive it about after loosing the job? Fueling it etc

Frans old 2.0 was logged as an XE, current one is in the process of being changed, all DVLA wanted was a letter from a garage say there is a 2.0 in it, so it isn't difficult.

Mine wasn't declared when i bought it.

It was still down as a 1.6 GSi.

I declared it and there was no hassle, probably because the tax class didn't have to change with it origionally being a 1.6

Tax evasion. Fraud. If it's down as anything under a 1.6

mine was a pain in the fucking arse, they sent it back unchanged, demanded a letter backing up the CC, sent the original back to me sent a changed one back to me with the engine number but not the CC, then held my one until I had paid the tax, called them and said I dont want to tax it yet as its not on the road, then he sent it out to me, 16 weeks later and i had the correct V5

I thought 1.2-1.6 were the same class and anything above 1.6 was higher.

Edit: click

corsa sport 1.6's are 1598 cc iirc which is why you pay the higher rater of tax.
