well i have now 100% decided to swap/sell my mk1 anytime from now depends on if anyone comes forward with the cash or a car that takes my fancy..
anyway here are some of the cars im thinking of getting..
mk3 golf (vento front end)

civic ek4

also thinking of just getting a 6n polo 1.0 or 1.4 16v, but getting a bit common now thats the only thing..
would like other ideas of cars similar to the above, and in that sort of price range (2.5k max and no more then 1500cc)

An EK4 is actually a 1.6 DOHC Vtec. 'EK' is the shape of the car, the number indicates what engine it has. Just thought i'd point out concidering you said no more than a 1500cc

Well you've already had a VW, if you are still happy with it, maybe the mk3 is the way to go. If you fancy a change, go for the civic. There is alot you can do to those civics and are alot of fun!

hmm, i'm only selling it when i find a new project, or might sell it to fund my golf... not sure yet.
JDM is going to be 'the next big thing' in 2010, kinda like 'euro' has been, get a civic imo

this type of thing is going to be big in 2010.

i could maybe stretch to one yeh, but its more money to buy it,run it,insure it, tax it for not much more in my eyes, as the 1.4 16v will more then do me fine, obviously the interior and exterior look better but they both will be changed at some stage so doesnt matter..
if money wasnt an issue then yeh i would have one without a doubt but its how i see it (above) at this moment in time aron..

Its fine to "slam" cars in america as most of their city roads are half decent unlike ours.

You will struggle to find a decent rust free eg and IMO the ek has a shite driving position, the only thing I liked about mine was the power in high revs

Go for the EG Civic IMO (the older shape of the pics posted)
It's a tad lighter, and look better than the EK Types IMO (apart from the Type-R!)

i do prefer the ek over eg civics but the egs are cheaper, thats the only thing that would swing it..
