I was changing the sump on the motor on Saturday so had the front anti roll bar off to remove the exhaust manifold out of the way. Didn't end up finishing until half 6 or something so it was dark, so in turn I couldn't be arsed re-fitting the ARB and I needed the car that night.
I'd say it's made the car much more grippy in tight corners and roundabouts, whereas before it was much more prone to hedge seeking and just basically going straight on. On big bends I can't really notice a difference to before, but overall it seems to have made it a bit more responsive. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this and if they think the same. XE corsa with Jamex coilovers by the way.

always found it better cornering without an arb with a bigger engine up front.

I was told to take mine off as well when I had my XE corsa as it handles better without it.

Alot of people recommend it with xe/let lumps. I still don't know whether to take mine off.

they introduce more understeer with stiffened suspension..
so with an xe, you got more weight up front with will add more understeer, so much better without out at front with an xe..
all in my opinion though

Doesnt removing the front arb improve low speed corners but makes the car unstable at high speeds.

Glad to hear that it's not just me imagining it then. What happens if you add a rear one then?

Sorry to hi-jack. But how would it effect my Corsa C 1.3 CDTi in the bends? lowered 40/60mm on Apex springs...

To affect a car in the best way would be poly bushes and arb setup

I would recommend the front removed....and with the addition of a rear one like a whiteline, it makes them corner far better....and then if your really serious start looking at a diff. that is where the difference lies.

best way i found with mine was keeping the front arb and softening the suspension up a bit on the front.
