So how the fuck does this guy get 9 months in jail yet someone I know's brother got off with being caught carrying a knife? Make no sense to me at all.

Jail time for a speeding offence, as long as it was done in a sensible fashion and not past a school or a similar is very very harsh.

Correct, and 9 months at that. Even about 3 months I could understand but that's taking the piss in my book. I'm assuming he's being made an example of.

yeah, bragging he got bummed in prison every day for at least 4.5 months

shame that he got caught. i don't agree with prison sentences for speeders on clear motorways/dual carriageways where there shouldn't be any pedestrians. it just doesn't make sense how some people don't get jail for burglary or carrying a weapon yet this guy does just for trying his bike out for 20 odd seconds.

Agreed on the comments about being jailed for a speeding offence yet knife users, druggies, burglars etc get a slap on the wrist being unfair

It's f*cking disgusting that he got jail time for a speeding offence, AND A FIVE YEAR BAN!

If he was scum. If he wasn't the owner. If it had been a car instead of a bike. If he'd broken into the owner's house, attacked him and stolen the keys and then stolen the bloody car and done that speed or similar, drunk, and stoned, and killed someone he'd have got a suspended f*cking sentence!

Prison will change him for the worse.

What kind of opinion of the law do they expect he'll have when he gets out?

It's just ludicrous and counter productive.
