They seen like an excellent all purpose vehicle, good motorway crusier and light off road duties.
Some very cool features like carbon fibre roof and adjustable airbag suspension.

2.5 V6 TDI std @ 180bhp, maps to 215bhp. Four wheel drive.

What do you think?

Bound to be expensive if it goes wrong. I really would not want to run an Audi out of warranty due to cost of parts and labour

Check the air suspension, its an absolute fortune when it goes wrong and quite a common problem on these.

Its an A6 chassis.

I work on building sites 4 days a week, motorway commute 1 day a week and enjoy active camping holidays, also girlfriend will be at uni 350 miles away next year so could do with something better than a van to do that journey in! Thought it would be a great all round option.

Worrying regarding the AA being outside alot! I think cambelts and fuel pumps are the things to watch on these engines.

Oh i wouldnt be paying Audi rates, Pattern parts and DIY fit! FTW

Jr: What kind of issues do they have?

There is a bunch of guys on VWAUDI Forum doing airbag repairs fixes along with cam belts change (no easy task). Fuel Pump unit replacement which i did on another car.

JR you worked for Audi didn't you, anybody who works in a parts department/service department will always be able to say X car is crap, that doesn't really give a wider picture though.

Yes it does, you see all the broken ones.

I'm not disputing they have their faults, every single audi or vw ever does though if you've seen all the broken ones.

i also saw the ones that come in for a service and a note with "cant you just check why the suspension on level 2 wont sit right", or "the windows stopped working last week can you have a quick look"

to find out that the suspension air bags have holes in, and the convinicance control unit is shagged because dirk back in germany sealed the pollen filter in with a mix of spit and some bathroom sealant

you'd be suprised, not every car that was in at a dealer was broken, just the majority of allroads were

What a shame the Allroad has these problems.

Problems which inevitably will be in the normal A6 V6 TDI as they share the same engine.

I thought Audi's were good cars?
