Hi all! Right this is bit of a funny question lol.
The thing is I've had about 4 people in the last year say that they have had there 1.0ltrs and 1.2 corsa b's and c's to top at 115-120mph ! Now mine was a 1.2 and my lass had a 1.2 a cupple of year back and they both struggled to go past 90mph. And I'm pritty sure the gear box would not take the car to 120mph!! So I was just woundering am I wrong?????

had mine at 115ish, never again, and that was a heavy 5dr! (1.2 16v)

1.0L 12V can barely do 100 never mind 120

1.2 16v can do about 115 tho

My 1.2 Corsa C wouldn't go above 110, except from down a slight hill.

A 1.2 doing 115 has a speedo thats out by at least 20mph.

its impossible for them to do that speed standard unless its on a massive downhill slope....the speedo will be out and most corsa 1.2's have no rev counter which means the clocks start at 10 mph....most "boy racer" owners will claim it does that speed

i have a rev counter and im not a boy racer - edit - i will admit my speedo could be miles out tho

They're talking rubbish mate.

I've got a 1.2 16v b which I've managed to get 102 out of and it wouldn't give any more, possibly another 1-2 mph downhill but I can't see it going over 105

That 102 was off my sat nav too, speedo was about 105

Fucking hell m8!!!!! And I take it the gearbox held ok to take you home lol I thought that the f13 box would limit at 110mph and that was if the engine could take it there? Well looks like I must be wrong lol and our 2 corsas must ov been shit!! Lol ah well. Thanks anyway m8

i got what the speedo sais was just under 110 in 11.2 8v nova down a pretty big bridge the glove boxed open the raido stopped and the gear box was pretty hot lol

my old corsa b 1.2 sxi speedo said 120mph going down a huge hill but im sure the speedo would of been out. The F13 on mine topped out at 125mph on the limiter when it was on axle stands lol.
