Madness, utter madness!
I've got an S2. A black one. A fast black one. That was one owner when I bought it.
But if I had that^^^ and the S2 and only one parking space, I know which one would be getting pushed off a cliff/banger raced and which one would get kept.

High miles imho. I tend to look at miles before price and thats imho above most on the market.

Its 18yrs old................average miles would be over 200k
I think its nice, a cossie with low miles would be suspect imo. One of the main reasons I wouldnt buy one...you'll be forever wondering if its been crashed/stollen/clocked etc.

Excuse my ignorance but is the Lux different from a "normal" Escort Cosworth?

If its got fully traceable history then it sounds like hes got a good car.
I just think for the amount built & the amount crashed & stollen in the 90's its a bit of a lottery trying to find a good one.

Not average for an escos, and even less so the reported milage as so many of them are being driven around with the speedo disconnected to save the miles, most of the "low milage" ones arent anyway.
At least the 109 sounds well documented.
I personally wouldnt be put off by high milage if its a good and well maintained example

Average miles is average miles, I know people that have owned & run these cars daily. I just think if for example its showing 50k miles & has had 13 owners & part of the historys missing then its one to swerve......as are some of the examples ive seen for sale recently. Obviously theres a lot of good cars out there as well. Agree not to be put off by mileage.
I bet if I bought a 90's 993 Porsche or something I could be more sure of its history that a cossie. Most nickable car in britain wasnt it? I just feel weary of them.
