Wheel spinning etc.

The t1rs on my misis corsa last plenty of time, I done a track day on them and she has only just had to replace the fronts now after 18months. Total of about 18-20k miles!

I managed to make a set last 1.5k but I drove very hard everywhere I went around every county road . T1-R's are ok but don't like the wet at all and as previously said don't last long. F1's but if funds don't allow then Rainsports.

Rainsports were my first choice for the Polo but Micheldever don't stock Uniroyal so went with the Toyo T1R's, I've found them decent enough for what the cars used for, the tyres on it previously were dangerous ten pound tyres, these are sticky enough on track and quite good in the wet.

Sidewalls are soft but unless you are driving like an imbecile 24/7 it shouldn't be a problem.

I think T1R's are decent in the wet. I used them at brands on a wet track day once, and had plenty of grip. Thats were the soft sidewall helped.

You've never tried them down a road then where water sits on corners

Your right I haven't as in London, the roads have drains! However I've driven with them on my missis' corsa in the wet on the road, and my old mk3 Astra GSI LET which was only 300bhp-ish.

Maybe people that don't have enough grip in the wet should slow down? Just an idea!

Actually who here has driven the same car, on the same setup with the 3 mentioned tyres:
Toyo T1r
Goodyear f1
uniroyal rainsport 2's?

I have and if there was a difference I didn't notice it!
