im going to do a few jobs on it over the winter (tax runs out in a month) so putting it on sorn over the winter months..

then do a few shows in it at the start of the year then look at selling up..

just wondering aswell what peoples views are on a rx7 or supra?

love rx7s, they're just too damn expensive! supras are too big imo, look crap and are silly ££££ to modify and even run, have words with corsash about rx7s

whats the point of getting an rx7 or a supra if it's going to be so low you couldn't possibly drive it properly?

it ruins the whole point of buying a powerful car.

he didn't say he was going to lower it , jap cars just don't look as good as European cars lowered anyways

have you looked at insurance prices on those sort of cars

is an rx7 and a supra a dub..

it doesnt need to be low, 40/50mm on some 17/18s will do for me as they look good at that, only reason i go low on corsas because they look shite in the clouds, and my mk1 is, well a dub..

just got a quote on comparethemarket.com if i went to insure one now it would be £4000 at 20 3 years no claims, but 21 4 years no claims £2900 (both prices are for fully comp)

think rx7 is out the question tbh, my mates 23 and had no problem insuring his even its only a few years difference..

and the supra is £2700 fc..

i reckon i could 100% get it cheaper with with the insurance company im with now, they wont insure me on anything over a group 10 insurance till im 21 but have always been very good with prices, i reckon i could get near the 2k mark..

still need to have a serious think about it though, buy a decent car with the insurance cost..

Is it specifically an FD you're after? You could try an FC, get used to the quirks of rotary engines and then if you want to, upgrade to an FD with all the twin turboey goodness once insurance comes down.

Mine was 1800 to insure at 24 with zero NCB, limited mileage policy.

Was going to say that. Does seem oddly high then, I'm paying just over a grand in a shitty area.

That's a good suggestion. S14 was my backup plan if I couldn't stretch to a Rex.
