The R32's are only 0-60 in like 6.5-7.5secs i think, quite pitiful for a 3.2v6 4x4 with like 250bph or watever lol. Especially considering the cost of one STILL!

Is your car standard? If so, his engine must be tired, as he should be quicker through the gears than your XE.

I would say that the Diesel golf would have a standard XE no problem, they make similar bhp but nowhere near the torque of the diesel, although weight will have a factor, torque is where its at

Weight will have a big factor. My old XSi could pull away from a GTTDi quite easily. Don't know if he'd be quicker over a ton as he was too far behind to find out Not sure if that was a 130 or whatever though. I sincerely doubt it would have no problem in taking an XE. It'll be close, but won't be easy for either car.

I have had a run with an xe corsa in my ibiza, it is standard TDI Fr and it was neck and neck. If anything I would say the beeza sneaked it. However from the word on the street the xe is allegedly a bi of a dog

Pretty sure when remapped, those golf tdi's are 200bhp and 300lb/ft of torque, so in reality should be faster than or at least equal to an xe corsa.

IIRC theyr isnt a massive difference in gear ratios between the F16 and F20.(aasuming its a C/R box your mate has.)

at 150 TDI with only a remap will not make 200BHP

and if its running 300ilb/ft then its a bad map as it will kill the clutch

Most see around 185 to 190 max with about 280lbs/ft
