I have a 59 plate Skoda Yeti gracing my drive at the minute. fpmsl.

I know some individuals that will keep the most up to date number plate on there car for the 6 months before the replacement plate comes in. Once the new plate is out, a private plate is put on to hide the age.

i'm getting a private plate, but only decent ones i've found are B6 YGG (bg are my initials and ygg would be my missus' initials once married) and B6 YGD.

but obviously don't want to get YGD then get married and it'd be wrong but don't want to get YGG as it'd curse the relationship probably

I don't use mine to prevent age related issues, but then I'll go a track day and that will all go out the window.

Pfft, you guys should try driving an old style plate

Saw a 59 plate Mini on the way home, some gay driving it doing 30 in a 50. Painted in some dull darkish blue colour which made it look boring.

Ooh, and was behind a 59 plate 207 this morning which was black and very shiny
