hmm

it's more than likely going to sink, or look shicking once the paint is on it.

I'l reserve judgement till I see it painted.

put a bit of even paint over it and you will probably see how not smooth it is and then you can start sanding it back and finishing it off because the paint will show the imperfections.

if not. good job. high five?

Just get a can of matt black, Mist it over it and sand it back until it dissapears. Will show you any high spots you cant see.

Also it may look a bit ripply when its painted.

Ditto! Takes years to get good at complex filling work like that.

If that comes out looking smooth and not like a rippley old crisp packet then you are gifted!

You wont feel a massive flat spot with your hands, you need to spray on a dusting of a dark base coat then flat it with something that will shape to the length of the panel; that way you'll see them before painting.

I look forward to seeing if all pans out well with the finished result. Good effort that man anyway.

I personally would have saved my time (it's very valuable) and driven it with the dent/s.

Rat look ftw

good stuff for having a go yourself, its how i learnt when i was 16 playing with my nova. as has been said before give it a light coat of black on it to show your low spots, also get that wheel arch edge looking nice by offering up the arch

get some wet and dry paper on that mate its real fine and once youve done that you will find all the lumps, dimpples that are on it, then primer it wet and dry once more on top (dont take it right back to filler tho) then paint away 3/4 coats then lauqer same again. hope this helps
