I'm with the AA - the missus pays for a dual membership; used to be with the RAC then left after I had to wait 4 hours to be rescued in the middle of Southampton. Some dickhead threw a Mcdonalds strawberry milkshake all voer the car whilst I was waiting and I a policeman told me to put my no. plate back on the front bumper properly.
Then when the RAC did turn up, the car started first time, bastard but he told me what it was that had caused it - turned out the 1,2 doesn't even have that part!
AA are coming to pick my Audi up in 20mins

None.
I should as my current mode of transport is even more french than the last, but I can't afford it.
Wouldn't be the AA or the RAC either way though.

think i really need to. travelling 70 miles per day during the week in a car that has the power of a blender isnt good.
are there certain types of cover? by that i mean can you pay more per month say for a better service or is it the one price? i have never looked into this, ever.

I'm with RAC but to be honest, they're not very quick. Waited for 3 hours for them on my old bike before, because the woman thought a Honda VFR400 was another name for a Honda Jazz so they sent out a car recovery truck, dick.

When owing a XE Corsa, it is really essential. Saved me a few times. Think i pay £7.99 a month.
I did get it with my bank but they only recover you if your within 15 miles of where you want the car taking the rest you have to pay for at an obscene price per mile.
Always best to have full cover for the entire country, you cant guarantee where you will breakdown!

rac. We pay 109£ per year and me, me mum, me dad and me bro all get a card. Its the top package too.
To those that have said they cant afford it, you should really try find the cash to get recovery atleast. When i had a smash in my nova, as i didnt have recovery the police said they have to get there own contractors to recover it cost £300 for literially 10min drive. Wasnt aloud to organise my own transport i.e. Mate with a flatbed compare that 2 when i crashed my corsa not far from my gf's in wales (i live in london) rac recovery. 3hour drive. Cost nowt

i think with most of the recovery companies, you can get different levels of recovery
normal roadside assistance, where they come and try and fix the problem and if they fail, then they tow you to a garage within a certain distance
then you can get home start, where they fix your car on the drive if it won't start
and then there's normally the most expensive one, where they recover you from anywhere in the UK and take you home
i think i also get it free with my bank, but i only get the basic recovery. so i paid extra on my insurance to get the full one as well

Why does that not surprise me?
I'm on my dad's AA policy. It's the full £250 a year or something one where they'll even come to your house to try and sort your car on your doorstep!
