Hey guys, urm last Saturday i went down a 1 way street turning left. The reason i did was i couldn't see the sign. But anyway i was just gonna take the slap on wrist, but i went back and noticed that the signs wasn't all lit up, and was actually blocked so i couldn't see it, I have pictures which i need 2 get off my sisters phone. But what are my chances? Really don't want 3 points n a 60 quid fine.

Yes, but as i said i wouldn't of done it if i saw a big massive no entry sign all red lit up, but it was hidden by a give way sign which also wasn't lit up, and it was pretty dark about half 11 at night.

If you have photos, then contact your local councillor directly or the council themselves, and if they make any rectifications the coppers have no comeback

non-endorsable FPN for "Driving Wrong Way Down One Way Street", offence code 345. He filled in the FPN slip and gave it to me and allowed me to go on my way.

I am so annoyed by this. I know the fine is "only" £30 and I won't get any points so I will probably just pay it and be done but it is the principle which goads me as anyone in my situation would have done the same thing and I was driving safely.

Where the give way is, i was coming down there and i couldn't see that, well i could in day light, but that was blocking the no entry which wasn't lit up, like the others down the road.

Well, hopefully i do. Because they is no warning signs saying no left turn, also the give way sign is blocking the no entry sign, which doesn't work and the 1 on the other side of the path is turned the other way, which still doesn't work.

You should take a picture of what you can see approaching the junction (so it shows the sign is hidden behind the give way)

Where else could they put the sign?

All the other cars are also facing the other way, I don't think you've got much of a case.
