Over 500hp. Because it's essentially the same block as the LET. Nic Barnes is an XE iirc.

But things like tb's, cams and management etc will see over 200bhp.

The only things there that would give more power are the cams, exhaust and (maybe) the chip.

id imagine quite a lot as you'd not bother putting forge pistons in etc to get it out to a 2.1 as you cant do it with a re-bore and oversize pistons

qed make a 2.4 alloy block. id imagine that wouldnt rev hard but maybe make the bhp figure easy.

Dunno about NA but surely if your prepared to spend the cash on forced induction, then the skies the limit.

john toovey built my dads xe for his escort, its dynoed at 246bhp at the fly wheel, he is getting a new head with new cams built as we speak and is guaranted 260bhp at the fly wheel, john toovey has also built a 2.4 for a bloke in ireland that made 310bhp on his dyno at the flywheel. recently tried boring out to a 2.5 but didnt think it would last long

Yes you can. IIRC with 87mm pistons = 2087cc, with basic maths and rounding thats a 2.1.
