all was sent back. cant say ive got a letter back off them though. was sent away 4 months or so ago after speaking to them on the phone asking what i have to do. typical. on the phone earlier they said there was no way out of the fine and the letters are sent out automatically and if i write a letter to explain ive sent everything away id be lucky if i got out of it. then told me i should have declared it sorn on the internet or sent the documents back. i shouted a bit after this.

Did it with a car I wrote off. Told the DVLA it was scrapped, then about 5 or 6 months ago I got a reminder to tax it. They're dafties.

Totally agree, I got a cheeky letter from them because I put 2000cc on the V5 instead of 1998cc.
They got a nasty phonecall from, it was a woman as well - what would they know about 'cc'

I had the same thing a few years back. I just wrote them a letter with a photocopy of the letter they sent to me, to them. And they let me away with it

Should have sent it recorded as above.. Everything I send to the DVLA I send recorded since I got bitten too!
I sent a V5 and it 'never got there' so I had to end up paying for a new one because apparently its my problem.. NICE!

I'm waiting for the private plate to come off a car I'm buying and its taking ages, they really are fucking useless, literally all they deal with are combinations of letters and numbers, and the occasional change of address, how hard can it be, unless they type with their feet maybe??
