Well, the annual stages on the Prom at New Brighton took place today. The weather managed to retain its averages and, for the morning at least, was pretty crap.

Turned out to be a good day though and it brightened up as time passed. Some interesting examples out, although the event was dominated as always by mk2 escorts (mostly with XE's in). In fact, XE's on carbs are always the order of the day with this event...with the escorts and talbot sunbeams running them.

Anyways...here's some pics!

oh...and we had a VERY rare sight aswell...Adam got the corsa out!
...had to get a picture...








oh, and the rocks were getting in the way of all the pics too...

GSi that went well all day...although it did take a hit at some point...










And a 1400 Nova that was going absolutely brilliantly all day. Was getting past a blue Impreza everytime it went out...and managed to out pull some of the bigger cars...




























And this beemer...an M3 (one of two in the rally) which got hammered all day, and the guy just didnt let off. Gave a brilliant show tbh! got a crackin vid too!

Yeah was a good day Loved that M3 hooning it about BIG TIME

Wierd though the scoobys that were there (classics) were set up so shit it was unreal..they all still had the 2pot front brake set ups which are dire

yea...all the 4wd's looked slow today tbh. apart from a couple of the Escos's...there was a red one that had twin side exit exhausts...which were on fire most of the time! that was great to watch...

Yeah we really enjoyed watching the Cossies Was funny watching some lass trying to drive the BAT corsa C in the paddock and stalling it twice
