If its got decent layers of wax on then you will only need to give it a quick swill and wipe over

Took a bucket and mitt with me to PVS, filled up with on-site tap and had arranged to buy Dodo shampoo off Rich on the day as my old one was running out
Definitely needed a bit more than quick detailer with all that mud

Had to borrow Rob E's bucket at PVS lol, off all the things I forgot - then again I wasn't expecting to have to drive round a campsite following a wheel spinning nova lol

At PVS, me, but at Trax I'm having the time to myself lol. Am manic at the moment so want a day off! Plus I don't think Trax is quite as easy to work at as PVS imo.
Anyways, my advice would be give it as best clean as possible before you go, then take a pressure sprayer (one of the garden ones) filled with water, buckets, shampoo, drying towels and quick detailer so you can give it a quick wash and touch up at the show. Job done.
Oh and tyre shine - that always makes everything fine at shows.

Bring water with you.
Some shops sell 5 litre water bottles.
I'd never wipe a car down with just quick detailer. Always try and use as much water as possible.

There is a cracking shampoo called "Optimum No Rinse" which as the name suggests doesnt need rinsing off, all you need is 1 bucket full of water and pour in the ONR as you would any shampoo then with a microfibre cloth doing a panel at a time wipe away the dirt and buff off with a nice clean microfibre cloth, job done.

Agreed, that is the best stuff but it's pricey - can't see many people opting for that just for show use...

Micro fibre and QD leaves swirl marks.
Last time i tok a car to a show, i washed it and prepped it at home then covered it in cling film so when i got to the show alli had to do was remover the cling film and give the wheels a dust off.
