What do you think would be quicker round a track? Both cars are stripped out, with uprated suspension on 888s.

Puma is 1100kg 1.7
MX5 is 940kg 1.6

id probably say the puma.

edit:

i thought the puma was 9**kg's

MX5
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 115
Weight without Driver (KG) : 940
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 124.30

Puma
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 125
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1100
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 115.46

so based on that i would say MX5

It totally depends on the track.

Tight and twisty, or big round oval?

1.8 is 130bhp but the extra weight slows them down so they are about the same in a straight line so ive heard.

Driver skill and balls will have the greater effect over a few bhp difference.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

And 1100 is the standard weight.

If its properly stripped out you're close to 950.

I hope i get the chance to see you on track at Ian, the thread is only a bit of banter though, im not actually planning on racing or being stupidly aggressive. I find it quite interesting since weve both bought the cars on a budget.

My main hope is for good weather otherwise we'll both be being lapped by people in standard cars.

They are 1038 standard.

Puma will be quicker. Its just the wank first gear that kills them from the off
