Always have used megulairs stuff from halfords and have been happy with it. But just wondered what else I could get for a simular price thats as good if not better.

For a silver car

Paint work is on good condition just something to give it a nice shine and keep it protected

Been having a look on cleanyourcar.co.uk but not sure what would be best for mine

Cheers

Its an acrylic based sealant. They tend to give a better shine on light coloured cars.

Heres where I get lost if I use a sealent do I not need a wax or are they two different things?

Ive always just washed it and put a coat of wax on every now and again and polish it once in a while along with a clay bar

They are both last step products that offer protection, but they are two different things.
You can use either a wax or a sealant or can even use both if you really wanted to.

We get really good results from Carlack 68 NSC paint cleanser with Carlack LLS sealant applied on top before buffing off then a couple of coats of Collinite 476s wax, this was on a light silver. Yuo can get all these products from cleanyourcar and they are very reasonablt priced too

Correct. The sealant will replace the wax.

I've never used either, but yeah, i've also been told a sealant is easier to apply.

Have a read of this...

Did we ever find out if we were going to get a separate car care & detailing section to the forum?

There will be a section in Tutorials / FAQ's answering commonly asked questions. Just got to find the time to create them ie. taking my poor photos etc

An actual section / sub forum won't be happening though I don't think.

It has same cut ability as Lime Prime, and the wax in it lasts for around 3 - 4 weeks I find. Is essentially a competitor to the likes of AG SRP, but better imo

I use it quite frequently - more so by machine as it's even easier to work with like that, but yeh tis good.

I used it on John_C's VRS that I posted up on here a while back, and the beading shot in my avatar is of just NFS on his car

It left swirls?! What were you using to apply and buff off with? And needs to be left to haze but not be baked on lol. If it gets baked on, spritz with quick detailer to remove.

Ideally apply with damp foam applicator or microfibre pad, buff off with soft microfibre
