Incorrect. It's a tight squeeze but can be changed without dropping the engine.

I had a T-Bar. Yes they're nice for the summer but they can leak if the seals haven't been looked after or replaced.
If I was to get one again I would go for a tin top.

G-Limited comes with 115bhp I think. It's the bog standard lowest spec non-turbo import model IIRC.

I had a 173bhp 2.0GTi16
Captive nuts inside the subframe went so the whole back end swayed. Felt like you were floating.
They need special coolant or the head gasket goes pop easily. They have to be bled up propperly too.
Also, there isnt much protection for the radiator so check it form damage. Most people put mech in the lower grille to protect the rad.
Check the underneath is solid.

The one I had started to corrode where the Cat and the Back box met.
Had to get both replaced which costs a pretty penny.

If he looks at imports, you'll want to get it undersealed before winter as a priority.

The Cambelt is about a 4hour job in total,
there is nothing really wrong withem tbh just usal stuff really
The Turbos dont go bang if you whack the boost up. they can support 1.2bar with supporting mods.
The early Turbos Rev 1 & 2 are 220bhp whereas the Rev 3,4 & 5 are 242bhp standard
best thing to do when you get one is a good set of tyres

I had the 2L N/A Rev 3 and it wasnt great, didnt feel like 170odd BHP.
Ive had a go in a 200bhp Beams engined one and it felt the same.
3S-GTE engined one is a different ball game!!

Tbar roof got on my tits, didnt leak but did form a water way along the seam and if like me you like the window cracked in any weather you always got to the end of your journey feeling like you'd pissed yourself and I never had the use of it, simple reason I said hard top.
