the wife emailed me from work this morning to tell me she had a flat tyre........I guessed it would be a 'little' flat as the tyre in question had a slow puncture

she came home with this

so that'll be another £50 to shell out for a new tyre

ah...she's just said she couldn't change it as the garage still had the key for her locking wheel nuts from the m.o.t 2 weeks ago

so remember people......

check your tyre pressures and make sure you have your locking wheel nut keys with you at all times

speaking as someone in the tyre trade, you'd be amazed what people assume they can drive safely on. 99% of people dont have a clue about tyres, tyre pressures etc. everyone on the road is a danger to others.

Bet that alloy's a bit worse for wear now, even if it looks ok. How could she not tell that was ripped apart?

I'm the stupid bint! The car was MOT'd two weeks ago - not even an advisory. I rang Waters to come out with my wheelbrace which for some bizzare reason he has - but as the MOT garage forgot to put back my locking wheel nut key we couldn't change the wheel.

We couldn't leave the car where it was and luckily I am a very experienced driver (17 years of driving) and I got it home carefully and in one piece.
Thanks Louise (Mrs Waters)

I'll overlook it on this occasion while there's no lack of clarity.

If you're on CS during sexytime you have issues.

Why would the garage need your locking nut for an MOT? Wheels shouldn't be off for it.
