Bit of a rant if I may. Today I've dealt with two moderation issues which really shouldn't have happened. This annoys me as it takes up time unnecessarily.
The first was an argument over nothing that I had to sort out and split a thread because of. Could have been solved by a complaint and me acting, instead of loads of replies and private bickering.
The second was a thread in the wrong place which again, rather than just telling a mod or me, or just leaving it to be picked up, someone replied which pissed the OP off, blah blah, still needs moving but in addition to that it also then required a split. Twice the problem.
Please please can you consider that if mods need to get involved then it's significantly easier when they do if you haven't been in there first and made more work.
Thank you.

Would implementing a report to moderator type button be any use?
And/or a penalty point system?

And this will educate the users how exactly?
This for me isn't a technical issue.

I can see where people are coming from though. You need a response, you need it now. General chat provides this, Help zone doesn't. Not that this makes it right by any means.
TBH, the worst bit is when your thread is moved and you get zero indication that it has been.

If this website become a generic model of all the other shite I have seen on a daily basis across the internet I doubt it would get used as much.
Like it like this and I bet a lot of others do, it's clean and tidy and simple like me.

Yep, true. I browse 106owners a lot and I hate it, allways freezing and crashing due to 6 million sub forums, tons of adverts etc. This site is simple and very user friendly. If it's not broke don't fix it

This software does thread splits but you still need a human to decide which posts need splitting, which normally means reading the thread again. You can't give a computer that job.

Well not easily, it would need programming. And it would probably need the option to turn it off in case people consider it spammy. But it can be done.

It happens a lot, people are too impatient to wait for a reply.

TBH there's a fine line between what should be in there and what shouldn't. I could point out 5 threads right now that could arguably be in the Help zone.

Keep it simple, Only moderate what needs to be moderated, Like moving threads to the right sections and dealing with bad sellers, It works fine on bttos which is full of inbred idiots, So it should work fine here.

Removing parts that are unwanted and put it else where so it makes a new thread.

Ah right, cheers. Where did the other parts of that clunky gearbox thread go?
