Ive got work in manchester next week for 2 days and been told that we are getting supplied a car and Im down to drive. been told theres either a VW toureg,VW Passat,Astra SRi CDTi. got to let them know by the end of the day, problem is I like the look/sound of them all and picking one up tonight. Which would you choose? all are diesels BTW

I drove mine hard.....got between 35-45 mpg depending on how hard.
anyway....take the Toureg.

Am4nf, there's no chance you got the 10mpg or whatever it was in a diesel astra, it just can't be done.
Maybe you were driving a 1.6 and didn't realise.
I'd have the toureg out of the choices.

My bro has an Astra CDTi 150 and my Mate has the Passat 130 Highline.
Id take the passat too or the Toureg if it wasn't me paying the diesel costs.

John when i left the tank was full, when i got there it was just abouve 1/4 it could have been the 1.8 petrol SRI

the passat is an 06 plate one 2.0 tdi, the VW is 2.5tdi and the astra is a 1.7 and we claim the fuel money when we get back

in all honesty the VW's listed are not great engines
probably the astra

How can you not know whether the car you are driving in is a diesel or petrol?
Ok even if you can't here the engine you can still tell by how the power is deliered.
