I am looking into buying a focus RS.

Not surprisingly their forum is just a little bit biased towards them.

Just wondering if anyone on here has had experiences of them ? seen them out on track ? how did they do ?

My one slight problem is that i am not keen on the interior, the dash is prity horrid imo and the seats dont look like they are too great, but i may be wrong ?

I love them, such an amazing car for the money they're going for these days. I have to agree about the interior though.

I'd have one for sure.

Whats the other choices in that class? Astra GSi? Honda CTR?

I'd pay the extra for the FRS.

They will be your best bet for info.

Great cars.
They can deliver a lot of bang for the buck.

Unless you're a pansy who can't hold onto a steering wheel, torque steer isn't as much of a problem as some people make it out to be.

The interior is a bit OTT, but every time you step into it, you get the sense you're somewhere special.

Aesthetics aside, I wasn't overly impressed with the seats. Always felt like you sat on them and not in them. Not enough support.

I'd much rather have one over a CTR or an LCR.

They look evil from the front, a Pro Alloy front mount will just add to that

Main thing putting me off of getting on is some kind of witch hunt from the owners club following me if I mod and change it

There are sooo many modded Mk1 RS's, and a lot of them owned by RSOC members. They're not all into concours and originality.

I think the original wheels are perfect.
Apart from OZ Superleggera. Maybe they're just ever so slightly better.

Focus RS is 100x cooler than an Astra GSi imo.

I like them alot, all purely based on the noise they make with an aftermarket exhaust. Dribble.
