Thought it would be that,
my drum was sticking alot (sounded like it was on contant tbh) would this have caused the cylinder to burst? i was just about to order 2 drums as you know from my post in help not too long ago, gutted if changing the drum could have avoided this

I was on the motorway when a brake fluid pipe split after rubbing on the PAS pipe.
No brakes at all wasn't fun.
Didn't wanna shout to my passenger that I had no brakes so I just pretended everything was normal

the grating will prob cos there down to metal because of this the cylinder could travel to far and losing the fluid past the seals, always a good idea to check your drums once a month as like the front they do wear away

to me it just sounded like the drum had seized/ got filled with shite
awell at least it didnt happen under heavy braking or it could have been a very different post
How do you check your drums?

I have a question for everyone or anyone, Is the rest of my brakes hardly working and my foot going all the way to the floor normal due to the cylinder bursting?
