If I sprayed an exhaust with high temp paint, everything would be ok right?
It'd be able to withstand it and not flake off, smell, or cause issues?
Can you spray straight onto stainless?

You cant really prepare the surface properly so even high temperature paint will eventually flake off and no you cant paint straight onto stainless

You can get stuff which is made for painting exhausts and comes in matte black, not 100% where from but my mate who has a company that builds custom exhausts uses it.

I have done. Everywhere just says use the same stuff as you would for calipers, hammerite or somethin along those lines. I'll give it a shot and see what happens anyway. I think my main concern was it flaking and looking even more stupid than it already does

Hopefully this paint idea'll work otherwise the exhaust is coming off as I'm not happy

I want my exhaust tip ceramic coated then thought about painting it. How much is ceramic coating, how do you apply it etc? Expensive?

I think I know what your answer is going to be, but why are you spraying an exhaust?

Basically I took an exhaust to a place and said fit this. Showed them exactly where I wanted it and how I wanted it done...little bit cut out of the bumper so it sat nice, etc, etc.
Came back 2hrs later and they'd stuck it slap bang in the middle! Needless to say I didn't pay them, but I'm not sure whether it's grown on me. Problem is, the rest of the box behind the pipes is REALLY noticeable and shiny. I'm thinkin if I spray all but the pipes black it might look better. Otherwise, it's off and in the bin and back to square one.

Can you not mesh the bumper off or place something else in front?
I can't see paint staying on for long?

Don't think so. Didn't really want to go down the whole mesh and bodykits road either tbh. I'll try it this weekend anyway. It could work. Otherwise I'll just take it off, no big deal. Sounds ok tho which is a shame.

Why not make some sort of guard to hide it and paint that?

You'd have to see it to understand why that isn't an option really. It's ok, i'll try this and report how I get on

So you wanted it to the side, and they put it in the middle?! Sounds like a good company.

Yes, I wanted it on the left like any normal upstanding car of the community
I don't pay top whack for things. Sometimes though doing it that way can cause things to deviate a bit. Bloody Nigerians

crouch down like youre checking something out then take a picture but make it look like youre on the phone. think back to when you reversed into a pole and got out with your phone pressed against your ear like nothing happened
