Wrote off my car tonyt! Only had it 2 days
Was an arden blue 1.4 sport, used to belong to chrisboom on here (number plate is S89 FFS)
Came off a roundabout, must have been something on the road (diesel or something) and car slid sideways, tried to control it and hit a lampost! Was going 25mph when a hit the lampost, this old c**t came out from his house and started rambling on to me about how i was "showing off and speeding" and tried to say to the police i was being stupid, which i wasnt, then it ended up the police told him basically to f""k off cause he never saw it and was trying to make false accusations.. what a twat!
Looked at the speedo, and it was stuck on at 25 so the police aint gonna do anything about it! The lampost is really bent
Gutted about the car though!

did you go and look at the road to see if there was something on it so you could possibly put some blame onto someone?

Speedo wouldnt stick on 25 as it needs a constant feed, also if your tyres were good and no slippery material on the road it would be put down to driver error ie to fast for the conditions. Not saying you were speeding. Put it down to experience.

Well it did mate, dont know how then. Yeah, but im guessing there was something on the road, as i wasnt going too fast, infact i wasnt even going fast at all. First bad crash ive been in and cant remember much of it due to shock.

Electronic speedos stay at whatever they're showing when the power is cut, so when you have a crash, you can see what speed you were doing.

Gutted for you though mate how bad's the damage on the car?

Oh, and get the coilovers off it, they are only about a year old now, and the rear lights, worth a bit.

Christ, ive had 6 cars before the 106, and all apart from one have been written off or scrapped after my ownership
