right, iv got £1200 max to spend on my next car, not alot of money i know but its all i got

so, what would you buy out of an astra mk3 gsi or a 106 gti?

If your spending under £1.5k on a vts/gti then its gonna be a shitter imo

Its funny how some gti's still sell for 4k+ especially the yellow ones.

A mint corsa turbo sells for less than that most of the time!

but yes id say gti would be better alround car, and can make it a tad quicker for little money

As said, GTIs hold their money a lot better than the VTS will. Can pick up a decent condition VTS for £1200. (Phase 1 that is)

GTI prices are rediculous, even P reg ones are going for £1800+

the other thing to consier is what would you rather have a crash while driving in?

id be afraid of a bird shit landing on the pug roof and causing the car to buckle under the 1.7gram weight of white shit.

Astra will be a rotbox for £1200. Gti will be a nail. VTS would be your best option... or a 306 gti.

You'll be lucky to find a half decent Gsi for £1200.
Im always on the lookout for 1 but they are getting so hard to find nowadays.
Youd maybe get a decent-ish P2 Gsi for £1200 if you keep looking hard enough.
