For my next car

Im swaying towards diesel for some reason

Im really liking the idea of a corsa c 1.7 with a 1.9cdti engine or a golf gt tdi mk 4 i think.

Would the corsa c conversion be realitivly simple?

Also can anyone think of any other cars around that price range ?

I really liked your car colin, very good alloys seeing as they normally put some shit on like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GT-TDI-130-bhp-pd-6-speed-SILVER_W0QQitemZ160343457868QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item255537004c&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A7%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

whats the difference between yours and a gt tdi?

How is the power delivery?? not too smooth isit?

What other cars do they compare to?

Mine was a highline model so came with leather & cruise, & I stuck the anniversary front on.

Good car, done what I needed it to do, I liked it. Not sure what else it compaired to really Power delivery was good, it pulled like a train & could move along the motorway with most hot hatches.

That one in the links too expensive, I got 2900 trade in & the garage some if on for 3500.

Well you get different GT tdi's & apparently the 130's the one to oget, at least thats why I went for mine.

110bhp
115bhp
130bhp
150bhp

Not sure if there all PD's or what, im not interested with the technicalities I just drove it & it was good!!

Its surpising to see that the 130 is the one to go for over the 150, maybe a different engine design with more porblem / things to go wrong.

The 130 is the one to go for if you'll be getting it remapped, if you've got no plans to remap it you might as well get the higher powered one.

The 130 is easier to find though and a remap is 100 quid so well worth it.

The 90 and 110 Golfs are non PD(cant be re-mapped).
The 100,115,130 and 150 can be remapped and they all have the 6 speed box except for the 100.

The non-PD engines can be mapped, just not as impressive gains.

The non PD ones get equal gains but the torque is miles down to start with so a remapped non pd 110 doesn't get the torque a standard pd130 does.
