Id say replace as many sensors as you can possibly afford to do you cant imagine how much this would benefit you

i could offer a fully ported/polsihed head.
mates xe made 184 and 180bhp on 2 diff rollers 12months apart. superchip, powercap, decat and head.
give you abit of an idea

depends on the difference it will make but anything up2 200? i think thats a respectable price, bit out of pocket due to colour coding of the body, headlights, suspension and manifold. what would you recommend to me?

Got about £1000 mate, i would need to get an engine with that aswell, and mount kit etc. Could get a half decent engine for around 300/400, and get mounts, driveshafts etc. second hand which would be alot cheaper and would do the same job if they were good condition, unless i wanted to buy a brand new kit at 400 which i probably wouldnt do. so unsure how much i would have left for mods.

Waste of money IMO. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

to be honest a good standard engine is plenty of power for a corsa, id stick with major service and airbox/panel filter and exhaust...
ive had mine for about 3-4 years now and im still happy with the power of it, i think some people just go silly for figures and lose sight of what makes a car good/ok to drive, its all good having 200+bhp but its no good unless your goin in a straight line in most cases.. in a corsa anyway which to me cant handle it
i think 2.0 16v engine pushing 150 bhp in a corsa is plenty to keep you and the car happy..
why not try the cheapest mod of all like me and strip the back end completely, tighten up the suspension with some good kit and fit rear arb with new bushes and track rods/ball joints etc etc

fair enuf then matey, let me know if need nething doing
my mate who ran 180bhp xe used to drill vx220's and st205 gt4's.....tbh unless you rebuild the motor you wont be running the original 150bhp. my mate rebuilt his. that drove well and handled well. now he has a 400bhp LET in the corsa...also another one i did all the headwork on.....that handles well, stripped out, caged etc

Do a compression test, chances are the rings will be worn. replacing them will do more than any other mod if they are gone.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

dpends if the block is worn past the tolerances on a re-ring before have to overbore though

400bhp corsa will handle but depends what your comparing it to m3 or a stock 1.2 8v corsa breeze
why will none rebuilt engines not be producing 150bhp, mine only had head rebuilt due to snapped cambelt and produced nearly 160bhp with no other parts changed at all, standard block/pistons/rings etc etc

ok then...dopends on the amount of abuse its been given and milage, but its common knowledge that engines wear and will over time lose power.
thats what my comments based on matey

60k as daft as sounds is prob where the motors loosened up as much as it will, if that makes any sense. i know a lad with a stock xe made something like 140at wheels in his car, sometimes you get a really good motor.
