Well am looking at buying another Corsa which will be either a 1.4 or 1.6 Sport.

Just after some ideas really

Was thinking of the Ebay inlet and a straight through middle section with custom back box.

What kind of power would that give?

If you were to keep the 1.6 then I'd talk to Broster about TB's and management.

Buy a 1400 sport so its cheap tax bracket then buy an XE or 3.0 V6 conversion with some better brakes and suspension.

But when you declare the conversion it wont make any difference.

Never declared one myself, dont see the point other than to sting more from me out of tax and insurance. If i crash into somone my 3rd party insurance covers me regardless of the state of my car, mods declared or not. Plus ive never heard of anyone being caught for having an undeclared conversion - the only way to check is to have the head off and measure the bore and stroke and id like to see a copper do that at the side of the road!

Also, you could insure it with the new engine but not tell the dvla about the conversion thus making it insurance and tax friendly

eeerrrr, no it doesn't, as your insurance is VOID, if mod's are not declared, 3rd party, 3rd P,f,t or fully comp, so technically you have NO insurance.
That means YOU will have to pay for repair's to other cars/property, personal injury claim's, and would probably be paying for them for the rest of your life, unless you got quite a few hundred thou in the bank

I know somone who works for an insurance company, i know somone who works as an assesor for an insurance company too. It was them who told me the ins and outs of it all.

If the claim is only 3rd party, you can be drunk driving with no tax or mot in a car thats got a full bodykit, wheels, install and a turbo conversion and crash into somone and your 3rd party cover will still be in place. As your 3rd party cover is paying to repair their car not your own.

However if you want to claim after someones hit you, their insurance will only pay out for standard parts, and if you claimed on your own comprehensive policy they would only approve standard parts too.

do you really think your insurance will be happy to pay out to repair somebodys car when yours is not legal. you must have a good insurance company.

On topic, i wouldn't be daft enough to throw 1500 at a corsa but if I was i'd put it to the purchase price and find one that had already got the stuff done, as not to lose as much money.

Insurance company can file to reclaim losses against yourself if they really want to but its very rare it happens as court costs often exceed the costs of the repair anyway.

I dont have a car on the road at the moment as im banned untill the 23rd of the month, even so why do you want my VRM? Are you one of those goody 2 shoes grasses?

No, your just a retard if you try and do that. The VRM will say lamborghini. You could put a murcielago engine in a gallardo though if you wanted to be clever.
