I had one. Ace car. Bit old fashioned, but they're an old car. Things like manual choke, etc used to annoy me. I used to hammer mine and it still carried on. Just had to stop once because the water pump went and that was it.

They've climbed in price recently

Mine had been owned by the same guy since 1988, FSH, the lot. Would've been worth at least a £K more now from the looks of things

Proper retro now tho, if i didnt have the corsa id consider a minter to keep.

ive been thinking about these recently.

a lad i know lost £2400 in a week on one. paid £3000 for it, hit the limiter, threw a rod and he sold it for spares.

he sold it to a mechanic that bought a minty mint engine for it for £600, and then sold it back to the other lad for £2000.lol

i think he has blown it up again now though.lol

They really need a switch wired up for the radiator fan as thats the reason the eat headgaskets.Prone to overheating in traffic/at a standstill.

i had a white one, drove it for 6-8 months and never had a problem with it which was suprising conidering the way the previous owner and i drove it. nice cars though id like another but just not very reliable not unless you found one which was standard and unmolested.

i had one about 9/10 years ago! great wee car until some old woman hit it with her metro and the metro came off better

handled great and went like stink! both windows were held with wooden clothes pegs and whenever in traffic you had to switch the heater on to cool the engine down a lil which was gay considering you couldnt let the windows down
