On the way to work.
Newbie coppers are funny, try to be as thorough as possible but forgetting the small things like reading me my rights
It appeared there were 2 of them on training with the driver as their mentor, one of em only looked about 15
All sound tho, even had a decent chat with the driver, all baffled by the debadged bootlid tho, 'what car is it?' obviously mustn't have noticed it was on the screen infront of him
They were even concerned about making me late for work.
I'm yet to experience one of these full of attitude coppers that people mention, I think they're a myth

There a few that are twats but in my experience 99% of the time if you are ok with them they are fine with you.
If you come across with an attitude like a few people seem to get some sort of kick out of doing they'll be arsey and rightly so IMO.

That seems to be my experience of it Matty
It was just a documents check, didn't have em so he had to read me my rights then give me a producer.

Apparently so, bad idea imo in case someone breaks into the car.

been 'pulled' twice once i was parked up somewhere which is apparently renowed for drug users so they were just making sure i wasnt taking drugs, buts its also a secluded area which didnt help matters as i was there with my best mate who is female so they were laughing and asking if we were up to anything didnt help that at the time she had found a jonny in the glove box and stuck it under the window wipers *coppers didnt notice that*
and the second time was because of my 3/4 plate i had, which tbf he was a bit stroppy about it but let me off with a producer as i changed it over to the normal one before he would let me go.

It's an offence if you can't produce them when requested by an officer but end of the day, they read you your rights then give you a producer and that's it as long as you produce em.
End of the day tho, it's not practicle, I've now been read my rights about 4 times all for the same reason. Just a formality incase you don't produce then it goes further obviously

Do they not only give you a producer if something doesn't check out?
The one time i've been stopped they found out I had a licence and insurance over the radio.
I hadn't sent the V5 away yet but said to them it might come back as not registered because i'd just got it and they didn't question any further.

There's 2 occasions where I've been pulled and not got a producer, the first was a drink drive spot check and the second he couldn't see my seatbelt, I had a harness on.
All the other times I've been pulled I've been given a producer, it is a bit of a joke tho, one time I got in the car and saw my insurance details on the ANPR screen, then watched him flick through mot and check the driver database, I showed him my photocard so he knew it was the right person driving it yet I still got a producer
I thought part of the idea of ANPR was to cut down on stopping people

I got pulled for apparently running a red light when I was in my first month of learning to drive hahaha. In my own car just been to curry house to pick up tea with step-dad, he was pissed out of his face and I was hungry.. not a good combo.

I got pulled for doing 39 in an advisory 20 (legal 30) on my bike, reason for it was I had no speedo at the time, obviously I didnt say that, but I got off, turned bike off took helmet off etc and was just polite, let me off no problem
edit - first time ive ever been pulled over by the cops in over 4 years as well, not bad going considering how I drove when I first passed

To be fair the only times I've been pulled are when I've been at fault. Never had a random stop.
1st time I came out of a junction and went straight over to the other carriageway but they had put a sign up to say you couldn't do it anymore. You were meant to go left and round the one way system instead.
2nd time - speeding, let me go.
3rd time - speeding, got points.

I generally have no time for them, end of day what people need to understand is you will NEVER win with them, so lick arse suck dick or do whatever you have to do.
i had an impreza which was parked at my folks , there was no tax mot , xenons didnt work only had rear lights and fogs. I needed to get it over to yard so i took it about 8pm one night down all country roads , anyhow i had trade plates which at time was out of date i forgot to renew , drove past a corsa at some speed and i noticed it sped up, i slowed down to speed limit and they followed me for ages, i pulled into petrol station and turned my lights off and 3 of them got out before i was even out of the door. Asked me a few questions but was very sound to say they could of gone to town, they saw trade plates but didnt look at dates, didnt check lights or anything. they just said "have a good night" and drove off.
either that or they just wanted to have a look at my bird

Ive been pulled over loads of times
Twice for speeding 50 in a 40 zone
One for 60 in a 40 zone
Once for rapid acceleration (someone was really close to my bumper so i put my foot down when we pulled off, didnt see the cop car a few cars back)
Dropped someone off and pulled out a car park, brightly lit town centre so I forgot to put my lights on . got pulled for that
Was parked on some grass and went to drive off it the long way got pulled for that, but apparently all the chavs drive around the field so thats fair enough.
Went down to junction 27 to watch people race, and I went round the roundabouts a couple of times trying to find somewhere to park and got pulled for making a nuisance of myself.
Im always polite when I get pulled but have had two coppers with really bad attitudes, once when I got pulled for speeding and the last time. All the rest have been fine.

I was pulled twice in my B, the first one was full of attitude tbh didn't even have a reason for pulling me, in fact he almost drove into the back of me in a car park before pulling me, then some chavs drove past in a 3 series and he couldn't wait to get after them.
The second time I had a brake light out and the two coppers were polite and the bloke said he though car was tidy for its age and liked my wheels lol. Some are nice some aren't but thats the way of the world

Rights for not producing documents...
Dammmmm I knew those millions of public money was wasted on their systems. I'd have just asked them to use their system that we paid for to check what was needed? They can check Tax, insurance, MOT, so what documents do they need to see exactly.........
And there are plenty of coppers with serious attitudes, no matter how polite you start the conversation.

This this is where is pays to know your traffic laws properly....
You can't be done for "rapid acceleration". You can accelerate as hard and as fast as you like, providing the wheels do not break traction and you dont exceed the speed limit.
Sure they can try to pin dangerous driving on you instead, but then if it goes to court, what judge in their right mind would convict a dangerous driver for accelerating in a straight line with full control

There are plenty of people with serious attitudes, some of the happen to be police officers...
