We have been doing a lot of work recently on the 2ltr VAG 140bhp diesel engines, any one know what the most power people are getting from them on standard turbos?

Theres a few people running remaps on the DPF engines and haven't had any problems with it.

Guess they ironed out the problems with the development car as thats what it was for.

were aiming for 230bhp with a modified turbo, and a remap to suit, the turbo mods expect to be about £375+vat to carry out so should be a reasonable upgrade.

05 A3 will be the PD140 engine.

Facelift A3's from approx. August/September 2008 are CR140 engines.

All depends which shape and year A4 you are talking about Colin?

The common rail is actually 143, not 140 too if you were picking hairs
