Suppose its just another pointless rant, so here it goes

Just got a quote on a car ive been looking at, A 2000 golf gt tdi and it came to just under £600. Phoned my current insurers (Admiral) to see how much it would be to swap my current car over to the car im going to look at and they said it would be an extra £350 until the end of my policy, which is about 5 months away, which would take my current premium to well over £1000!

How do they work it all out, do they just pick numbers from anywhere.

Just trying to decide weather to change policys completely and get the new car, loosing out on this years no claims i have built up, or to be ripped off just for the sake of the extra years no claims.

And the police wander why there are so many un insured drivers around. It works out cheaper to just keep getting the fines!

They are all bastards lol.

I was insured on a Sport with Quinn, the policy was due to end in august. Got an old GTE so phoned them to change the cars over and they told me I will have to cancel my policy as they dont insure cars over 20 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, I think they just make the numbers up. My mate lied to a company recently about a quote he had from a rival company so they dropped their price lol

yep...brentacre. give em a ring! Really cool guys and they dont charge when you mod. Also, they dont care about cosmetic mods, they give you a BHP limit and so long as you dont breach that, its all good.

If you want to up your limit, they normally either charge a tiny bit extra or up your excess.

Just been and looked at it, Loved how it looked and how it drove. History from the moment it was bought, just needs a new set of tyres but they said they would put them on before it goes. Just been serviced and MOT'd which is a bonus too

Here is a quick pic

Just having a think about it all tonight!

Elephant wanted nearly £1200 with me and my dad on (as we both use the car) It wouldn't have brought it down if i would have put my mum on as she has a medical condition on her licence.
