Well im in two minds what to do with my car now .

Beardy & my mate who used to be a turbo technition think my turbo has finally kicked the bucket. But me being me & the wicked streak of luck i get think it could be piston rings!

If my car goes wrong my dad tells me to sell up, but he wont listen to me that stripping the car will make more money! But when i agree with him & say i'll sell my car he wont have any of it.

If it's the turbo i can handle that, i will get it repaired or go for an up-grade, But if its the rings that have gone what shall i do? I can't be dealing with taking the engine out ect. I have pretty much no time to do this!

dont have to take engine out

£100 set of rings, budget £150 for complete gasket kit

i done a 1.2 16v full build inc steam seals in 10hours !

Just say worst case scenario the borse was scored then i'm fucked. TBH with my luck it will be that! Warren, do you fancy doing the rings if it's that ?

looking at july though....or late june

to much work atm, quaiffe diff in a gsi astra soon, engine swap in a c, and few lowering jobs, services hence why i get nothing done to my own car!

Beardy just built the engine up fo me, It was re-built when i bought it off a guy in kent.

The turbo has been re-built at some point by turbo active, but the first guy who i bought the let engine from was a cock. The loom was badly chopped, crack in the block, ECU was fucked & the FPR & a few sensors, so you the turbo could be hit & miss.

It wasn't the engine from daveyLC's mate, there not friends now. The one what i bought off daveyLC's old friend is what i quoted to warren.

I think he meant because he'd have to end up taking the block out of the car. If its the turbo smoking just check your boost pipes? Although saying that my old turbo was smoking but was only leaking into the exhaust.

Well heres an up-date:

My mate who works at vauxhall just came over to do a wet & dry compression test.

Just my fucking luck the ring in cylinder 2 is flat as a pancake!

Believe it or not, the car has had 11k ploughed in to it. My dad helps me out alot ( not money wise ) so telling him to fuck off is plain rude IMHO. Dan i'm 22 btw.

God knows what i'm going to do with it????

Can't sell it, the most valuable part worth stripping & selling is fucked.

Because of the money i've spent i can't just give up.
