I slapped mine in the spare wheel well. but the matal isnt very thick so it cracked.

I really wouldnt relocate one, without a proper battrybox for safety reasons

just put it in a cardboard box. mines going behind the pass seat. might make an ally box for it though

weight balance perhaps. also there is a larger flatter area there, and all the other cables run down that side so easier to run battery cable in with them etc perhaps?

those were my reasons for choice

bolted it down. it came with metal plate that goes in the bottom of it. drill through boot floor etc etc.
