I would say so, your gaining 40 - 50 bhp if its a good one

you will get a better reply off someone with experience im sure

God bless drunken rants. But back on topic, you certainly will notice the difference. When swapping my XE for Whittie's Sport we took them both along a stretch of road to see how much of a difference there is.... And it was a HELL of a difference

also worth mentioning, you may get a few more minutes of sleep time due to being able to go faster the journey to work wont take as long. if your unemployed, substitute the word work for job centre.

I went from 1.6 sport to 2.0.

Yes there is a big difference! as a rough idea i ran the following at pod.

16.56 - 1.6 sport
15.2 - 2.0 xe

2.0 would also go off the 1.6 sport clocks (not saying its 100% accurate as speedo could have been out.)
Was also better on fuel (obviously not wheen flooring it everywhere though!)

a 2.0 xe nova was near enough dead level with my focus, so yeah, i'd imagine it to be pretty quick

Yes there is a massive difference in terms of speed and how it handles i think. Went from a gsi to a redtop, xe is a lot faster than a 1.6 but you might want to look into a few handling mods whilst your at it as i have noticed the handling was a hell of a lot worse due to the bigger weight over the front wheels.

i dont think it makes them that bad at handling.
