then afterwards thought, 'fuck it, I should've just let him hit me'?

Coz I did that today.

Driving down a dual carriageway behind a Focus, and I had a Passatt overtaking me. Up ahead there is a new Astra TwinTop waiting to join the carriageway. The Focus drives past the Astra, no bother. I get close to the point where the Astra is going to join when I see him start to pull onto the road

He blatantly tries to join the carriageway even though I was clearly coming toward him. Luckily the Passatt next to me was just far enough ahead (about 1m!!!) that I could swerve into the next lane. What an utter spanner!! Afterwards I thought I shouldve just let him twat me. It was 100% his fault had we crashed. WTF he was thinking I don't know. I beeped my horn, and he pulled up behind me at the next roundabout and didnt even seem to be bothered!!

So he's trying to gain speed to join a motorway, and you were ignorently trying to stop him joining the motorway?

Could you not have just backed off and allowed him to filter onto the motorway????

He's going to run out of lane and you wouldn't let him in? I'd force you out the way as well

You don't just cut out infront of other cars, even if they are trying to stop you

So even though you could clearly see the Astra trying to merge on to teh dual carrigeway you said F**K it i'll just stay in this lane and let him nearly crash into me. Myself perosnally would of moved into the other lane or as VXR said back off about to let him join.

Or are reading it wrong?

This wasn't even a slip road. It was a normal DUAL CARRIAGEWAY from a housing estate. This car waited for everyone else, then just randomly pulls out infront of me. It was my right of way, and it's him that has to wait for a gap. But no, he pulls out on me about 5m ahead. I was lucky the Passatt was just ahead so I could swerve. I was doing 50-60mph too.

Reading it wrong!!! It wasn't a slip road like on a Motorway for example. It was a normal junction, with dotted white lines, where he has to wait for a gap to pull out.

Exactly, Nath was just driving along minding his own business.

Typical example of people on here not reading things, or reading it then being thick anyway.

my dad wanted to have this happen a short while ago.

He was driving a piece of shit mondeo with loads of faults. He wanted someone to just smash into him so he could get money from their insurance.

Instead he just took it down the field and torched it

(last bit was a joke)

It my car was a shit heap which would probably have been destined for an MOT failure I may well have done. Instincts took over though and I just swerved.

Should have worded it better then.

Law states to give way to the right, but if merging to a motorway/dual carrageway (picky = lame) then common sense says to let them on.

Or should they just stop dead, then accelerate to 70mph instantly when you've passed?

Motorway is shorter than typing dual carrageway. If there was a slip road, then its fundimentally the same = picky. My dual carrageway has 4 lanes and plenty of sliproads.

Now you have said its just a normal side road junction, I agree with you, but if your going to rant, at least type the full storey.

Why call me a spastic? Are you 10 or something? just because I didn't agree with your first post.... Boo hoo = Lame

He waited for everyone else to pass him, so why pull out infront of me? It was rush hour, there was no room to pull over and I'm not going to slow down and piss people off behind me. Plus I had no scope to slow down, it was too busy. He wasn't merging onto anything. He was waiting to join, not merging. It's not a slip road like on motorways and stuff. Imagine if it was a roundabout, same principle as that. Do you need a diagram still?

You say im blind but choose to ignore to quote where I actually agreed with you.

No, your English did not state clearly. Maybe further north you don't have dual carrageways with sliproads. Don't worry, modernisation is coming your way soon. I did read it properly, yopur english was terrible though.

Mental age of 10 to feel the need to call me such a deflamitory name. there are many words you could use, but your clearly too ignorent to understand the word you've used as a cuss......

Still, you've quoted everything but the part i agreed with you.

Yes, good lad
