well it's not like a 1.1 saxo or the likes. it's a decent motor but it's not fast, just nippy.

Remove the EGR valve and I should imagine they are as quick as an XE Corsa.

Yeah, Mk5 is better looking than Mk6. At least the Mk5 looked like a rarer model with the bonnet bulges, nice wheels etc.

The Mk6 just looks like the GTi or a tarted up Si.

Go for the early mk5 with the humps on the bonnet (most desireable)

Stay away from the smiley face effort it rots like buggary for some reason, and the 4x4's aren't that bad, they will hold a decent price.
