buy a 1.6 engine for cheap and get someone to fit it for cheap. you wont get a fast 1.4 corsa without spending stupid money.

put your £400 in a savings account.... my opinion

I take it that **** is a swear word of sorts?! Not very nice. If you know how to spell here why use heer

I'm going on £200 budget. I 100% think/believe you will be better off making the can RUN BETTER with new air filter, new plugs, fresh oil. You dont get much (that doesnt require an extra x, y and z) for £200.

Spending a few hours removing weight will give you better times at Crail.

I tuned a 1.4, I've been to Crail.

£100 on service

oil and filter change (inc engine flush)

plugs

etc etc

then £100ish on a 2nd hand exhaust

then £200 on a air filter and power box

should notice a fair amout of difference from that..

my 1.4 16v sri (corsa b) had:

cams
slight port/polish
4-2-1 manifold
exhaust
filter
power box inlet

RR @ around 120bhp and it went very well for what it was..

Bought the car bout 8 months ago with 60,000 miles and a full service history with 1 lady owner. (presuming never been thrashed) serviced it then added custom air filter and de-cat'd it with a cherry bomb exhaust, pulls may harder through the gears than when i bought so im asuming that its got a little more power than standard like.

"Power box" inlet from flame on here, new oil, filter, plugs, air filter.

Or a 1.6 if your handy/ find a whole car under £400 (can be done)

Putting a cherry bomb exhaust and 'custom air filter' wont add 10bhp. Rip all the rear seats/seatbelts out and ask what else you can do to reduce weight.

De-cat doesn't do a single thing on its own.

Cherry bomb

well it certainly cant have taken away any power. especially when before 1.25 zetec fiesties were keeping to the back of it and now its keen for shitting all over saxo furios and quicksilvers....... how would you explain that if more power wasnt gained from the simple modifications?

Or maybe some of you guys believe in witchcraft!

Why not buy the following

ECOTEC Valve
FuelSaver
Electronic Turbo
One of them little static electricity things
Redex it.
add some of that halfords special Nitrous Fuel treatment.
Put some stickers on the doors
Fit a spoiler

That should be ATLEAST 500bhp!
