Sore this blow today at santa pod was having a good run until just before the finish line came a plume of smoke that filled the whole top end looked a mess when they put it on display later on in the day a fair bit of damage

Thats a shame. Hopefully itl be back better than before if he rebuilds it because it was abit of a beast up the 1/4

And if you think about it its just bad luck really I mean his car is what somewhere between 250-350bhp? tbs + gas and this has happend but 400+ lets can cope fine with standard crank....

Unless hes got a raised rev limmit etc not sure on his spec?

it will be an 8-9k rev limit id imagine to make the engine power it does.

thats the worst engine failure ive ever seen from a vaux if not any engine. i feel right sorry for them lot. gutted isnt a word that describes it id imagine.

I thought they said the crank and rods were intact, so I wouldnt imagine it being crank failure

it was an opc crank but it snapped as can be seen not as bad as it looks really but i think a steel crank is must lol hopefully we will be back real soon like to be at pv
