you have to think of the huge differences there are between having loads of bhp in fwd car and having enough to make it actually useful to drive. power is nothing without grip.

as nic says i'm only on 270bhp and i'm struggling for grip,i'd be looking at things like an equal length shaft setup, lsd and a good set of tyres.

mine will see most things off, beaten evo's,scooby's,rx-7's and a lot of others but it would do a lot better with more grip.

As everyone has said, grip is your biggest problem in a FWD, in theory the dynamics are all wrong! First of all the power is going through your steering wheels and then as you accelerate the weight is shifted backwards so the front goes light and you spin even more!

Once your moving raw power makes up for any weight disadvantage anyway!

The big thing for LET Corsa's seems to be the in gear times though which in the "real world" is more important than launches or quarter miles! Depends what the car is for I guess?

nova was 206bhp standard let on 8psi and if you planted your foot you could just keep spining its all about how you drive them.off the mark alot pulled off in front but allways ended up going past.i cant see big power lets having problems with scoobs.the lil nova never had a problem with any of them.and theres a fair few in essex.
